How much money do I need to show for dependants on a UK Student visa?
The monthly maintenance for a partner or child on a Student visa, in London and elsewhere, for how many months, and who is still allowed to bring family since January 2024.

Short answer: £952 a month per dependant in London or £680 a month elsewhere, for up to nine months, on top of your own maintenance. Since January 2024 only postgraduate research students (PhD and research master's) and government-sponsored students can bring a partner and children.
Who can bring dependants
Since January 2024: students on a postgraduate research course (a PhD or a research master's) and students on a government-sponsored course lasting more than six months. Taught master's and undergraduate students cannot bring a partner or children.

This is on top of your own maintenance (£1,529 a month in London, £1,171 elsewhere) and any first-year tuition not yet paid. The whole amount follows the same 28-day rule as your own funds.
Each dependant also pays
