What are the basic requirements for a UK Student visa?
An unconditional offer from a licensed student sponsor (your CAS), proof of English at the required level, enough money to cover fees and living costs for up to nine months, and, for some nationalities, a TB test certificate. You must be 16 or over.
How long does a UK Student visa take?
Most decisions come within three weeks of your biometrics appointment when applying from outside the UK. You can apply up to six months before your course starts.
Can I apply for a Student visa with a conditional offer?
No. The university issues your CAS only once the offer is unconditional, and the CAS number goes on the application.
